During the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), an event happened last week in Houston (USA) that brought together the leading global players in the naval and oil & gas markets, bilateral meetings were conducted involving potential Brazilian suppliers of products and services in the sector.

 

One of these events was the “Maritime Industries Connections – Brazil Offshore Energy Sector Roundtable Business Meeting – Brazilian Shipyards Map,” an initiative by the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum and Gas (IBP) and Petrobras, supported by Apex Brasil, BNDES, and Sinaval. The meeting aimed to establish partnerships and create solutions to meet the Brazilian offshore market’s needs. The meeting brought together 36 companies from Brazil and 18 from other countries, as well as sector entities. Tenenge and Enseada, companies of the Novonor Group, were present at the event.

 

Sinaval Vice President Maurício Almeida, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Estaleiro Enseada and General Director of Tenenge, was one of the speakers at the event’s opening.

 

During his speech, Almeida discussed the Brazilian and global naval industry, particularly how to improve industrial productivity and business and economic competitiveness for the sector’s expansion. “In the shipbuilding and offshore sector, the first competition is between nations, then between shipyards. In recent years, we have observed some countries using state banks to provide almost unlimited credit to shipyards and performing swap operations, converting debt into equity, as a way to subsidize Asian shipyards, disrupting the sector’s competitiveness parameters,” Almeida said.

 

The CEO of Estaleiro Enseada, Ricardo Ricardi, assessed that this was a great opportunity to strengthen national shipyards. “The promotion of this event was a clear demonstration that the Brazilian industry is seeking the necessary means to meet the offshore area’s demands. And we are well-positioned for this,” he stated.

 

In the final part of the event, a business roundtable was held, where all the companies present had the opportunity to exchange information and establish connections for potential partnerships.

 

The meeting was attended by IBP President Roberto Ardenghy, Petrobras Director of Engineering, Technology, and Innovation Carlos José Travassos, and Petrobras President Jean Paul Prates, as well as leaders of sector entities and companies.

Iniciativa da Enseada consolida o Estado como polo estratégico na matriz energética nacional

 

A partir deste ano, o Complexo Naval, Industrial e Portuário Enseada, localizado em Maragojipe, no Recôncavo Baiano, deverá se tornar a principal rota logística para o transporte de componentes eólicos de grande porte destinados aos parques eólicos da Bahia e de outros estados do Nordeste. Isso será possível graças a um contrato firmado entre Enseada e Petrobras, em dezembro de 2023, para locação parcial de área do Canteiro de São Roque do Paraguaçu, que será usada para permitir a passagem das pás eólicas pela rodovia BA-514 (antiga BR-420).

 

Segundo o Diretor Comercial do Enseada, Carlos Alberto Tsubake, a celebração do contrato representa um fator crucial para viabilizar futuros projetos eólicos na região. “Ao nos consolidarmos como a principal rota logística para o transporte de cargas eólicas de grande porte, não apenas estamos promovendo eficiência, mas também uma significativa redução de custos e mitigação dos riscos de segurança logísticos para os clientes. Isso desempenhará um papel fundamental no desenvolvimento da transição energética, tanto na Bahia quanto no Brasil”, destacou.

 

Entre 2022 e 2023, o Terminal Enseada recebeu aproximadamente 40 aerogeradores completos destinados ao Estado da Bahia, no âmbito do projeto “Tanque Novo”. A eficiência utilizada na iniciativa ganhou destaque em março do último ano, quando a Associação Brasileira de Energia Eólica (Abeeólica) reconheceu a Enseada, empresa do Grupo Novonor, e a CGN, cliente no projeto, com um prêmio em virtude da excelência e inovação da técnica logística utilizada, que permitiu a antecipação da operação do parque em mais de 60 dias.

 

Segundo a Enseada, o contrato firmado com a Petrobras assegura a consolidação da rota logística e a continuidade dessas operações no Terminal, contribuindo para o alcance de metas ambientais e o avanço econômico regional e nacional. A retomada deverá resultar ainda na geração de empregos para as comunidades locais e um aumento de arrecadação de impostos para as prefeituras envolvidas. Para Tsubake, a iniciativa reflete o comprometimento da Enseada com o desenvolvimento sustentável. “A reabertura dessa rota logística não fortalece apenas a competitividade da infraestrutura energética brasileira, mas também promove impactos positivos nos aspectos socioeconômicos da região do Recôncavo Baiano e na vida de centenas de famílias”, completou.

 

Atualmente, a Bahia desempenha um papel preponderante na geração de energia eólica, contribuindo com 35% da capacidade instalada no cenário nacional, segundo dados da Secretaria Estadual de Desenvolvimento Econômico (SDE). O comprometimento do Estado com a expansão desse setor é notável, tendo mais de 9,6 GW (Gigawatts) contratados, o equivalente a 2 mil aerogeradores a serem instalados até o ano de 2028, de acordo com a Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL).

The Enseada Industrial Complex has a private bonded port of 1,600,000 m2, with four berths, 13 meters deep and authorization to carry out Transshipment operations for Capesize vessels.
